You need to take a good look at what Bush is doing under the radar..

He has issued an executive order that none of the 700 B is to be left for the incoming administration. Thus AIG gets another 40 B on top of the 85 B and 37.5 B they already got to waste. The administration wiped out section 832 of the IRS code without telling Congress - needs their approval - thus costing the taxpayers another 140 B which is going to banks and large corps - tax free - to use as they wish. They also withdrew the regs and now allow the 700 B to be used as the receiving companies wish - bonuses, dividends, takeovers, etc. In short - he is screwing the US before he leaves office to the best of his ability. Absolutely none of the bail out money will do any good for the economy - except for a select few……..Things are going to get far worse before they can even think about getting better. There is nothing to require the banks to use the funds they get to make loans — they did not use the 600 B that the Fed gave them prior to the bail out funds they got to make loans - they used it to improve their bottom lines and pump up their stock - falsely..

It has been supported by President-elect Obama and includes green building at the forefront. Obama has called for all federal buildings to be carbon neutral by 2025. The article also stresses efforts to invest in both a green economy as well as infrastructure initiatives and efficient transportation.
